Uniform for Adult Members

GALA UNIFORM
for formal, special GSP/WAGGGS events.

Baro at Saya
Camisa (or “baro”)
stiff green “cañamaso” blouse with embroidered butterfly sleeves worn over the “saya”.
Pamielo a large square kerchief made of the same “cañamaso” material with embroidery. It is folded in the traditional way and worn over the camisa like a collar.
Saya plain green, floor-length, sleeveless, low round neck gown, with gradually flaring skirt.

Baro at Sayathe World Pin is placed above the investiture pin on the camisa opening.

KIMONA AT SAYA

Kimina loose round-neck blouse with extended sleeves, made of sheer plain green material with sampaguita embroidery.
Alampay large square kerchief made of the same material and embroidery as the kimona, worn in a rectangular fold over the left shoulder. The Investiture Pin on the shoulder keeps the alampay in place.
Saya KimonaKimonaKimonaplain green, floor-length, sleeveless, low round neck gown, with gradually flaring skirt. Note: gold tambourine jewelry (bracelet, earrings, necklace and pañeta) may be worn with either the baro’t saya or the saya’t kimona.

CHAMBRA AT SAYA

Chambra loose round neck blouse of sheer plain ecru/beige material with loose, flaring 3/4 sleeves, either embroidered with white flowers or green GSP trefoil.

Uniform for Adult Members

ACTIVE WEAR UNIFORM
For camping, outdoor and informal activities.

Pants plain green GSP cloth worn with white GSP cloth worn with GSP T-shirt or off-white blouse with trefoil prints. Any scarf or bola tie may be worn.
Float or Duster Type green GSP cloth, with full length opening in front secured with snaps. It is worn with the GSP black nylon belt and any scarf or GSP bola tie. The world pin is worn on the right collar and the position pin on the left.

Travel Wear Uniform for Adult

TRAVEL UNIFORM
for intentional or domestic travel

  • a blazer of green GSP cloth or blue coat (Americana) replaces the green overblouse of the basic uniform. This may be worn with the corporate scarf, bola tie or pin holder.
  • green GSP pants and the off-white blouse with trefoil prints. Any scarf or the bola tie may be worn.
  • blouse and culottes of plain green cloth. This may be used for travel or as an alternative uniform for formal or informal events out door or for active wear.
  • The Philippines Flag Pin is placed on the right collar when traveling abroad. (The World pin is transferred to the pin holder.)

Note: Black, green or blue coat,(’Americana’) blazer, vest sweater, muffler, jacket or windbreaker may be worn with any of the preceding travel uniforms. Travel Wear Travel Wear

Uniform for Adult Members

ALTERNATE UNIFORM(Culottes and Blouse)
Worn at all Girl Scout activities as an alternate to the Basic dress uniform.

Blouse plain green cloth, sports collar, tailored sleeves, open in front with five green plastic buttons.
Culottes Women’s trousers cut like a split skirt with secret pockets, of the same material as blouse.
Adult Members (Optional items)Corporate Scarf for formal occasions

Bola Tie for all occasions

Any Scarf (Friendship etc.)
with investiture pin for informal occasions.

Uniform for Adult Members

BASIC DRESS UNIFORM
Worn at all Girl Scout activities and when representing GSP at other events.

Blouse green GSP cloth tailored short sleeves, sports collar, opening in front secured with four GSP metal buttons, should reach the second hip.
Skirt of the same material as blouse, A-line (without slits) at least one inch below the knee.

- Position Pin placed on the left collar
- Other pins as the Asia Pacific Pin Investiture pin and others are placed on a pin holder.

Pin Holder green ribbon with metal bar placed on the left chest, four inches below the shoulder.
Council Strip narrow rectangular plain, green cloth, embroidered with council name. It is sewn on the left sleeve, one inch below the shoulder.
GSP Strip narrow rectangular plain green cloth with “Girl Scouts Philippines” embroidered on it. It is sewn on the right sleeve one inch below the shoulders.
Shoes black

for camping, outdoors and active or informal indoor activities.

White embroidered blouse
Cadet Girl Scout
Cadet Girl Scoutshort sleeves, with sports collar and opening in front secured by snaps/hooks and buttons. Two vertical rows of green embroidered trefoil design line each side of the opening. It is worn as an inner blouse of the basic uniform for formal events, ceremonies or special occasions. For casual, informal or office wear, the green overblouse is removed and only this blouse is worn with the skirt. The corporate scarf or bola tie may be used with this blouse.

When used with the green overblouse, the World pin and Position pin are placed on the right and left collar respectively of the white blouse.

Corporate Scarf square cloth with embroidered trefoil edging worn under the collar with the ends tied with an overhead knot on which is placed the investiture pin. The scarf comes in various colors. This is worn exclusively by adult members with the uniform for formal occasions.
Bola Tie colored cord with an investiture slide.
Stocking flesh colored.
Shoes black



Cadet Girl Scout Uniform

Cadet Girl Scout Uniform

FORMAL DRESS UNIFORM
Worn at Scouting activities, ceremonies, church services and other events by GSP representative.

Blouse white collarless, round-neck, blouse with “Cadet Girl Scouts Philippines” in colored print. The front opening is secured by four white nacar buttons. Epaulets on the shoulders, hold the scarf in place. Straight-cut, with short sleeves, it is worn tucked in the skirt.
Skirt A-line (no slits), green GSP cloth, with a belt loop on each side of the waistband. Length is at least one each below the knee.
Cap plain green cloth with gold trefoil design on the front part, and firmly set on the head.
Troop Number embroidered numeral sewn inside the trefoil design of the cap.
Council Strip green cloth embroidered with council name sewn one centimeter above the brim of the cap.         Note: Council name and numeral may be embroidered directly on the cap.
Scarf plain square cloth with bias-edging to match the colored embroidered letters “GSP” at one corner. It is tied with a square knot on the chest.
Pin Holder Cadet Girl Scoutgreen ribbon with metal bar placed below the left collar. It holds the following pins in this order:

  • World Pin
  • Asia Pacific Pin (optional)
  • Cadet Pin
  • Investiture Pin

These and other pins may be placed on the badge sash in lieu of the pin-holder.

Badge Sash green GSP cloth bias-cut band worn over the right shoulder crossing to the left hip. It may be removed during strenuous activities and messy work. It may also be used with the active wear uniform for ceremonies.

White GSP T-shirt and pants of green GSP cloth.
Culottes and Blouse green GSP material of same cut as adult culottes, worn with bola tie, or any scarf but not the corporate scarf which is for adults only.
Cap, troop number, council strip, belt, pins, pin holder, badge sash, shoes and socks - same as formal dress uniform.
The Philippine Flag Pin is used for international travel and placed on the right collar of the formal dress uniform or any of the travel wear uniforms when traveling abroad.

Senior Girl Scout

FORMAL DRESS UNIFORM
Worn at Scouting activities, ceremonies, church services and other events by GSP representative.

Dress one-piece, green GSP cloth, shirt collar, full-length opening infront secured by four green plastic GSP buttons, with two pleats on each side.
Cap plain green cloth, with gold trefoil design on the front part, and firmly set on the head.
Troop Number embroidered numeral sewn inside the trefoil design of the cap.
Council Strip narrow rectangular plain green cloth, embroidered with council name and sewn one centimeter above the brim of the cap.         Note: The trefoil, numeral and council name may be embroidered directly on the cap.
Scarf white triangular cloth with colored border and trefoil prints placed under the collar and tied in a square knot.
Belt black nylon with trefoil buckle.
Pin Holder Senior Girl Scoutgreen ribbon with metal placed below the left collar. It holds the following pins in this order:

  • World Pin
  • Asia Pacific Pin (optional)
  • Senior Pin
  • Investiture Pin

These pins together with other pins may be placed on the top front part of the badge sash instead of the pin holder.

Dress one-piece of green GSP cloth, shirt collar, with a front full length opening secured by four green plastic GSP buttons. Two pleats are on each side of the opening.
Cap plain green cloth, with gold trefoil design on the front part and set firmly on the head.
Troop Number embroidered numeral sewn inside the trefoil design of the cap.
Council Strip green cloth, embroidered with council name, sewn one centimeter above the brim of the cap.         Note: The trefoil, numeral and council name may be embroidered directly on the cap.
Scarf white triangular cloth with colored border and trefoil prints, placed under the collar and tied in a square knot.
Belt of same material as the dress and sewn at the middle back part of the dress.
Pin Holder Junior Girl Scoutgreen ribbon with metal bar placed below the left collar. It holds the following pins in this order.

  • Junior Girl Scout Pin
  • Investiture Pin

The pin holder may be worn with other dresses for identification purposes. The pins may be placed on the badge sash in lieu of the pin holder.

Council Strip narrow rectangular strip of plain green cloth embroidered with council name sewn one centimeter above the brim of the cap.
Troop Number embroidered numeral to be sewn inside the trefoil design of the cap.
Scarf plain colored triangular cloth, placed under the collar and tied in a square knot.
Belt of the same material as the dress and sewn to the middle back part of the dress.

Badgework

pangasinan councilThe Girl Scout Program is carried out in the process called Badgework. Badgework is the process of living the Girl Scout Promise and Law through personally chosen and planned self-developmental activities as prescribed in the Girl Scout Handbooks. A cloth badge is earned and worn by the girl to show her preparedness for service after completing the prescribed activities and living by the Girl Scout Promise and Law.
