GSP Out-of-Doors

Girl Scouts learn to be self-reliant and flexible to cope with new challenges, and fast changes as best experienced outdoors with nature. They learn to survive and do housekeeping in the open air under canvas tents, under the trees, under the sun and under the stars.

Thus, they could build fires, cook simple food without utensils, walk long distances, climb mountains, swim, fish, hunt and gather fruit and make shelters as needed.

In the modern world, they face vehicles to drive, machines to operate, and use radios, computers and various devices with ease.

They learn to respect nature, to live comfortably without modern conveniences.
